B. Grace Bullock, PhD


B. Grace Bullock, PhD and E-RYT, an Advisor with the Taksha Center for Integrative Medicine and Yoga (CIMY), is also an author, intervention scientist, clinical practitioner, and educator who has worked extensively in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. Her research and clinical work explore the effects of integrating empirically supported psychotherapy and affective neuroscience with yoga therapy techniques (asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra, etc.) to relieve stress, anxiety disorders, depression, and other psychological illnesses, and to promote health and wellbeing for children and their families. She has presented extensively at national and international conferences on a variety of topics related to integrating yoga therapy and psychotherapy, longitudinal, psychosocial adjustment, and developmental psychopathology. She also regularly offers workshops on successful scientific writing.

Dr. Bullock holds a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and is a certified Viniyoga Therapist. She is the Program Researcher at the Mind & Life Institute, from which she received a Francisco J. Varela Research Award in 2010. She is also a science journalist and Contributing Editor for YogaU Online, and former Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Yoga Therapy, and she has been featured in Yoga Therapy Today.
